Do I need to book the ferry in advance?
Not Always Although we do highly recommend booking your ferry with CalMac before booking. Spaces for cars and motorhomes can fill up very quickly, especially when the sun is out and during school holidays.
If your vehicle is van based and under 6m you can book as a (LGV) Light Goods Vehicle or (Low LGV) if also under 2.1m in high

Are dogs allowed on the site?
Absolutely! We are a dog-friendly site and dogs stay for free. We simply ask that dogs are kept on a lead at all times while on site and that owners exercise dogs off-site and clean up after them.
Can I have a campfire or use a BBQ?
Open campfires and firepits are not permitted. However, BBQs for cooking on are welcome as long as they are raised off the grass. We provide bricks for this purpose next to the chemical waste point.
Is there a shop nearby?
We have a "Wee Shop" at reception that has a selection of local Arran products, essential camping gear and popular snacks like crisps and chocolate.
For those who may have forgotten something, the shop also carries a range of toiletries, gadgets and basic food items such as soup, pasta and noodles.
For larger grocery shops, Blackwaterfoot (a 5-minute drive) has a well-stocked local store and a butcher.
